Hi all,
You have some homework to do before the meeting on Thursday, February 25. Don’t worry, it’s not a lot . Please read the proposed legislation so we can vote approval of these when we meet. Click on the links to read about the Climate Alliance, WA Recovery Agenda, Solitary Confinement and the Health Care Resolution. These have all been recommended by the Executive Board. There is also a Resolution for approval: Health Care is a Right - Now.

The last piece of business is passing our budget for the year. This will be led by our treasurer, Hallette Salazar.
The Feature Event for the LD meeting is Information on Redistricting led by Susan Griggs. Susan is the Chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee of the Kitsap League of Women Voters. She is also the Co-Chair of the Speak Up School that is being hosted by the Kitsap League. Ms. Griggs will discuss why citizen involvement is important and what are the problems with Washington’s redistricting procedure that citizens need to help address by testifying.
