Contact info for the run up to election day

If you would like signs, bumper stickers or campaign information, or just to sit in a room with some energized fellow democrats for a few minutes, please stop by one of the county headquarters. There are two offices in the 23rd, one in Silverdale and one in Bainbridge Island.

Silverdale
3100 Bucklin Hill Road Suite 226
Phone: 360-698-6833
The office is on the second floor in the corner of the big building across from Burger King and right behind the Cimarron Motel.

Bainbridge Island
345 Knechtel Way, Suite 200
Phone: 206-780-0351
The office is on the second floor of the building at the far right hand side, when looking at it from the parking lot. The building itself is right across the street from Metro Market Cafe (which, by the way, has excellent vegan soups for lunch every day).

If you would like to volunteer generally, the Coordinated Campaign contact locally is Scott Andes. He is usually at the Silverdale office at 360-698-6856 or email scott@wa-democrats.org.

There is still time to make a difference, and most importantly, don't forget to mail in your absentee ballot!

Cantwell Fundraiser, Friday Oct. 20th in Bremerton

Event Co-chair and State Senator Phil Rockefeller has asked us to spread the word about an upcoming Bremerton fundraiser for Senator Cantwell on Friday, October 20th at the Admiral Theatre starting at 4pm. This will be a great event, but the more people there, the better. The campaign has asked that if people want to come to the event but can’t pay the ticket price, call or e-mail Ansley Lacitis with the campaign, and they will try to work something out.

Please RSVP by calling or emailing Ansley, or RSVP online at http://www.cantwell.com/bremerton1020.

For more information, visit https://contribute.cantwell.com/events/bremerton1020.html, or contact:

What the Iraqis Want

Film viewing and discussion, Sunday October 15, 7-9 pm, The Playhouse, 200 N. Madison, Bainbridge Island.

Join Dal LaMagna, Executive Producer of the recently released documentary Iraq for Sale for a viewing of this powerful film and a discussion of his meeting with Iraqi leaders.

On Aug 2-3 2006, Dal was a member of a US Peace Delegation that went to Jordan and met with members of the Iraqi parliament, sheiks and victims of torture. The "Iraq Reconciliation Plan" linked to below was the result of that meeting.

The Reconciliation Plan documents how the Iraqis, in their own words, propose to solve their country's crisis, captured via extensive interviews with the Iraqi participants.

Be part of a discussion about what the war means to the Iraqi people and what they want for their country.

"We are waiting for the U.S. to end this war and pull out the troops. This should be based on morals and ethics and international law." Dr. Ali Temini, Iraqi delegate.

Free and open to the public; for additional information, please call (206) 427-1099.

To view a trailer of Iraq for Sale and for more information about the film, please visit http://www.iraqforsale.org. You can read the proposed Iraq Reconciliation Plan by clicking on the following link:
